Men
and
Women
Most
years,
a contingency of our
ladies attends the Women of Faith Conference.
Women's
Breakfast is the 2nd Saturday
of each month at 9am.
All men are
invited to
meet at 8:00 A.M. on the last Saturday of each month for light
breakfast, fellowship, prayer,
Bible study and discussion. The
occasional junket or expedition is to be expected. Meet in the
Parish House.
Bible
Study and Ecumenical Opportunities
Every
Wednesday morning at 9AM, bring
your Bible to the Lawrence House and share coffee, fellowship
and
Scripture insights.
Wednesday
Evenings, join in the
Parish House at 7PM for singing, praying and Bible Study with
Pastor
Don.
During
Lent, we join with many other
local churches to explore the meaning of the Season of
Preparation by
sharing teachings and fellowship
in the various churches.
Once a year, we worship on Sunday morning
with the North Rochester Congregational Church.
We participate with the Massachusetts
Association of Congregational-Christian Churches in
installations, ordinations and special services of celebration.
Each Easter Sunrise, we worship
at 5:45am at the Mill Pond with Calvary Pentecostal Church,
1st Congregational Church of New Bedford, and others.
Fellowship
Events
Each year,
the congregation gathers
for meals and other fellowship events. In the past, we have
worshipped
at Cathedral of the Pines in
New Hampshire, Memorial Hall in Plymouth,
and are considering a Sunday junket to worship in the
Tabernacle in Oak
Bluffs. We have
an annual meeting in January that is preceded by a
wonderful Soup and Sandwich Pot-Luck supper; Annual Shrove
Tuesday
Pancake
Supper; nearly annual Meat Pie Supper, Corned Beef and Cabbage
Dinners, Old Fashioned Weenie Roasts with sing-a-longs;
We have
hosted
"Trick or Trunk" events on Halloween for the safety of our
children.
We often gather for Christmas Caroling and other seasonal
activities.
Our church is small enough to function as an extended family,
yet
diverse enough to celebrate various cultural influences!
