Report of the Missioners to Haiti:

Mission Teams (18 in February, 16 in October), traveled to Port-au-Prince, Haiti and accomplished mighty works by the grace of God.

Ministry- We were blessed to minister directly to the adult caregivers at each facility we visited, doing Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and anointing. One young woman named Chrismene renounced voodoo and claimed Christ as her Savior during one of these sessions. We gifted each worker with "Psalms and Promises" a book in Haitian Kreyole of Scriptural guidance.

Education - We led the children in Bible study, led by Robert and Janet Blodgett in February, and with "Istwa de Jezi” (Stories of Jesus) - children’s' Bibles which were then donated by the Welshes in October. We did a dramatic presentation of "Peter Walks on Water" at each facility. We taught children how to ring hand bells and donated three complete sets of bells. We led "Jesus Loves Me" craft workshops at each facility.

Worship - We attended liturgical dance at Wings of Hope. We also held a communion service for the children at two of the four facilities. On Sunday, we worshipped with the Conservative Baptist Church of Thomassin, performing two songs during the service.

Compassion - by lugging a total of 2800 pounds of tuna and peanut butter, we provided several facilities (Hope for the Children of Haiti, Bethel House, Wings of Hope, Rainbow Home and Village of Hope) with enough protein-rich food (which is unattainable in Haiti) to feed the children for an entire month at each place/each visit. In addition, we delivered new dresses and toys to the children. The team left donations of dental hygiene supplies at each stop. We were able to provide substantial cash donations toward new beds, medical expenses, childcare salaries, and ministry costs for these facilities, as well as for four other local Christian workers.

We are blessed by our experience in the mission field as well as by the financial and prayer support that the congregation provided.
